Movin’ On
Bernie Thompson (2002)
I’m runnin’ away
From what I’m feelin’ inside
How long can I stay this way?
How long can I hide?
I’m lookin’ for you
I’m lookin’ for me
I’m lookin for something
I may never be
But I’ll keep Moving’ On
Keep Movin’ On
Keep Movin’ On
Keep Movin’ On
Forty came quick
Didn’t know what to do
Hate my job
Afraid I’m gettin’ the flu
Love my wife
My three kids
Mean the world to me
But I’m still lookin’ for me
Still lookin’ for me
Still lookin’ for me
Still lookin’ for me
But I’ll keep Moving’ On
Keep Movin’ On
Keep Movin’ On
Keep Movin’ On

You & Me

We had a week of fun
Playin' in the sun
Now we're back home
And we're feelin' a little ho hum
Now it's just, you and me
What we gonna do?
You and me!
Honey, what we gonna do?
I wanna wake up in the mornin'
In a little cabin by the lake
Just you and me
And a couple of kids
I wanna , hop in that boat
Go chase some fish
Sit by that fire
Tell tales about the day
Now it's just, you and me
What we gonna do?
You and me!
Honey, what we gonna do?
Headed up to Ironwood
She hopped on a plane
Larry Air disappeared
She's off to Chicago again
Seem's like yesterday
She was learning to walk
Now I'm wipin' tears away
I can barely talk
Now it's just, you and me
What we gonna do?
You and me!
Honey, what we gonna do?
We had a week of fun
Playin' in the sun
Now we're back home
And we're feelin' a little ho hum

Bullheadin' Tonight
Written By:
Bernie Thompson
It’s an Oreo smile on a Friday night
Watching the rods by lantern light
Rainbow sandbar, down by the rocks
We’re “Bullheadin’ Tonight”
Mississippi moon on a hot July night
Up from “Winnie” lookin’ for a bite
Me and little Lauren, we’re doin’ alright
We’re “Bullheadin' Tonight”
Worm on a hook, stick in the sand
Waitin’ for a tug, gonna fight em’ in
It’s an Oreo smile on a Friday night
We’re “Bullheadin’ Tonight”
Out on the rocks Monterey Park
Softball diamond at my back
Cute girls giggling, goin’ to the game
We’re “Bullheadin’ Tonight”
Yahara River with Mom and Dad
Camping at the Tomadot
Me and brother Scott sittin’ on the bank
We’re “Bullheadin’ Tonight”
Worm on a hook, stick in the sand
Waitin’ for a tug, gonna fight em’ in
It’s an Oreo smile on a Friday night
We’re “Bullheadin’ Tonight”
Campfire going, sun is going down
Fry em in the pan till they’re goldn brown
Cold beer, taters and a dab of beans
We’re “Bullheadin’ Tonight”
Worm on a hook, stick in the sand
Waitin’ for a tug, gonna fight em’ in
It’s an Oreo smile on a Friday night
We’re “Bullheadin’ Tonight”

Ain’t Going To Nashville
Written by:
Bernie Thompson / October 30, 2015
I ain’t going to Nashville, they don’t need my songs
It’s too far to L.A., I’d be driving way too long
Could head over to Boston? Don’t think they need me there
I’m happy in Wisconsin, I’m a Midwest Music Man
Music Man
Guitar In hand
I’ll blow my harp
Stomp my feet
I’ll play my songs,
At your local tap
We’ll drink some beer
If you want to, clap
From Madtown to Minocqua, and anywhere in between
Have a Miller in Milwaukee then I’ll head down to Racine
Jump over to Janesville, see my family
Roll to the river, the Mighty Mississippi
I ain’t going to Nashville, they don’t need my songs
It’s too far to L.A., I’d be driving way too long
Could head over to Boston? Don’t think they need me there
I’m happy in Wisconsin, I’m a Midwest Music Man
Music Man
Guitar In hand
I’ll blow my harp
Stomp my feet
I’ll play my songs,
At your local tap
We’ll drink some beer
If you want to, clap
Oshkosh, Appleton, Wausau on the way
Don’t forget about them Packers, we’ll head up to Green Bay
Take the lake to the river, up the Menominee
Jump to the other side, now we’re up in the U.P.
I ain’t going to Nashville, they don’t need my songs
It’s too far to L.A., I’d be driving way too long
Could head over to Boston? Don’t think they need me there
I’m happy in Wisconsin, I’m a Midwest Music Man
Music Man
Guitar In hand
I’ll blow my harp
Stomp my feet
I’ll play my songs,
At your local tap
We’ll drink some beer
If you want to, clap
I woke this morn in Hurley, must have had a ball
Last thing I remember we were leaving old Saint Paul
Duluth and Ashland, were Superior,
Old Gitche Gumee, is nice this time of year
I ain’t going to Nashville, they don’t need my songs
It’s too far to L.A., I’d be driving way too long
Could head over to Boston? Don’t think they need me there
I’m happy in Wisconsin, I’m a Midwest Music Man
